1. Search Models

Lynwood Smith can customize the search model to meet your individual hiring requirements. These include:

Container Search
Our container search model allows us to blend the best parts of contingency (low cost, faster turnaround) with the advantages of retained search (increased focus using broader resources, elimination of duplication). We operate as a contingency firm with a small retainer to initiate the search that is deducted upon successful placement.

Most of our clients prefer this model as it is less than the cost of a newspaper ad but provides a full cycle search with more streamlined results. We use the same sourcing strategies as retained search firms and present as highly qualified candidates but at far more competitive rates. This search model is also ideal for executive level recruitment that may otherwise require the services of a retained search firm.

Contingency Search
We will conduct contingency based searches on an exclusive basis for selected clients. Advertisements can be placed but additional search firms would not be involved in the same search. This avoids duplication of efforts and maintains professionalism as well as the reputation of the client company when individuals are contacted by one partner recruitment firm.

All placements include our standard replacement guarantee.


2. Research Strategies

As a major component to any search, we offer research assistance to corporate HR Managers as well as retained search firms on a project basis. We offer all levels of research from candidate sourcing and identification through to a short list of resumes and assessments. Clients may require additional information at the beginning of or anytime during the search process. We can customize individual searches according to the needs of the client company.

3. Career Transition

We provide outplacement services for employees making the transition from a restructuring or downsizing environment into the job market. We work on behalf of the client company to provide career transition services for their employees such as:

  • one-on-one consulting
  • development of job search strategies
  • coaching and direction on networking and interviewing
  • resume and letter writing
  • seminars
